Jaguars rout Browns 34-10 on four Lawrence touchdown passes
Trevor Lawrence threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers and Jacksonville led 31-0 before Cleveland scored.
Jacksonville beat Cleveland 34-10 on Sunday at EverBank Stadium, and the Browns did not score until the third quarter.
Trevor Lawrence's 30-yard pass to Parker Washington at 8:11 of the first quarter opened the scoring, and his 4-yard throw to Josh Cameron with 1:42 left made it 14-0. Cam Little's 47-yard field goal at 9:09 of the second and Lawrence's 14-yard pass to Brenton Strange at 6:18 sent the Jaguars into halftime ahead 24-0. Lawrence's fourth touchdown pass, 32 yards to Jakobi Meyers at 12:08 of the third, made it 31-0.
Andre Szmyt's 26-yard field goal at 8:31 got Cleveland on the board. Little's 40-yarder with 1:48 left in the third made it 34-3, and Deshaun Watson's 46-yard pass to Denzel Boston with 1:52 to play was the last score.
Lawrence finished 18 of 23 for 245 yards and four touchdowns. Washington caught 5 passes for 83 yards and a score, and Bhayshul Tuten ran 15 times for 66 yards. Josh Hines-Allen had 1.5 sacks. Watson was 16 of 22 for 205 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and led Cleveland in rushing with 38 yards on 6 carries. Boston's 2 catches went for 59 yards.
Jacksonville totaled 360 yards to Cleveland's 272, held the ball for 33:51 and did not turn the ball over. The Browns turned it over twice, converted 1 of 8 third downs and were penalized 11 times for 75 yards. Attendance was 41,156.
